Waranty Policy - the basics

At Tide Technology Limited, we stand behind the quality of our refurbished technology. All products purchased from www.tidetechnology.co.uk come with a 6-month technical warranty unless otherwise stated.

This policy outlines what’s covered, what’s not, and how to make a claim.

1. What’s Covered

Our 6-month warranty covers hardware faults that may arise through normal use of the product, including:

  • Faulty internal components (e.g. motherboard, camera, screen)

  • Battery issues (e.g. failure to charge or hold power — within reasonable capacity loss)

  • Non-functioning ports, buttons, or connections

  • Software malfunctions related to the hardware

This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and does not affect them.

2. What’s Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage (e.g. cracked screens, liquid damage, drops)

  • Cosmetic wear and tear (e.g. scratches, dents, worn buttons)

  • Damage caused by misuse, tampering, or unauthorised repairs

  • Software issues not related to hardware (e.g. viruses, apps)

  • Batteries beyond normal degradation (some capacity loss over time is expected)

  • Accessories or peripherals (unless stated otherwise)

We reserve the right to inspect any returned item before approving a warranty claim.

3. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your item is faulty under warranty, please contact us as soon as possible:

Please include the following in your message:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos or video of the fault (if possible)

We’ll provide return instructions and may ask you to return the item for inspection. If your claim is approved, we will:

  • Repair the item (where possible), or

  • Replace the item with a device of equal or better specification, or

  • Refund you if a repair or replacement is not available

4. Returns Under Warranty

Return postage for approved warranty claims is typically covered by us (within the UK). We may provide a pre-paid return label or reimburse your shipping costs — details will be confirmed during your claim process.

5. Business Customers (B2B Sales)

For business-to-business sales, warranty terms may vary slightly. Please refer to the terms agreed upon at the time of purchase or contact us directly for clarification.

6. Legal Rights

This warranty is provided in line with UK consumer law. It is in addition to, and does not replace, your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to a refund, repair, or replacement for goods that are faulty or not as described.
